Pendant ce temps, les renforts policiers envoyés de toute urgence par le chef des enquêteurs arrivent à la villa Palmée où se trouve Lapsus. À proximité de la trappe secrète, elle est prise d'une incontrôlable panique lorsqu'elle essaye par tous les moyens d'ouvrir la trappe avec ses mains salies par le terreau. La terre recouvre le sang sur les mains de Lapsus. La trappe semble être retenue par un système d'ouverture ou de fermeture de porte ingénieux. Encastrée parfaitement dans le sol, Lapsus cherche l'entrée d'air tout autour de la trappe secrête sans quoi Eyroll ne pourra pas survivre à l'intérieur de ce piège. Avec un souffle prononcé, elle insuffle de l'air à l'intérieur comme si elle faisait du bouche à bouche.
